The lease deal was very attractive - heavy discount off sticker - residual after 36 month on 12K per yr of 60% and a money factor of .001. With 0 down, sticker price of $48K you are talking about 525per month.

have you looked at the volvo x90 T6? it's a fantastic car, drives nice, has more clearance and cargo capacity than most other suvs. maintenance is covered as well for the entire 4/50k warranty.

Its a winter beater, right? We bought a WRX "wagon" a couple years ago, when they first came to the States, and i can't say enough nice things about this car. Its a blast to drive, you can tweak it if you are inclined, it will dig itself out of snow, and is very stable in the wet. Granted, it doesn't have the load capacity of some of the SUVs(although with the back seats down, you can pack quite a bit of stuff into it and still have a relatively low center of gravity), but those are trucks, and in my estimation, not alot of fun to drive. (Haven't driven a Cayenne Turbo yet, but the BMW and ML left me cold; the big Rover is a tad pricey). One voice of support for the Suburu: and its cheap! You can buy yourself a nice vintage car for the difference between the Suburu and some of the other vehicles you mentioned....

I called the Subaru dealer to test drive the WRX STi and he said that they were not allowed to take the STi for test drives! Now I understand there are probably a lot of joy riders out there that should not get a free ride, but I am a serious buyer. I told him I would not buy it without a test drive.

The other thing is the guy knows who I am and my family. Our business is fairly well known in the area and he knows I can afford the car. It would be one thing if it was a 120,000 Porsche or 250,000 Ferrari but a 31,000 Subaru?

Anyhow, later last night I got a message on my cell phone he had talked to his manager and as long as it is not raining we can take a short test drive! Just cracks me up as only 2 or 3 weeks ago I took a 95,000 Cayenne turbo for a test drive from the same dealership by myself!

I will let you know how the test drive goes, but probably not today it is raining!

Well,

I got the 2002 BMW X5 4.6is and all I can say is wow! This is one nice truck. It is a SUV, Sports Sedan and Luxury Sedan all in one. Awesome first class interior with all the goodies including DVD navigation, rides great, has all wheel drive and 340 hp!

LOVE IT!

The color is amazing as well it is the Estoril Blue with Black interior. You can only get the Estoril Blue in the 4.6 so you won't see this color on the other X5's.

Not a bad winter beater and yes I will put snow tires on when the heavy stuff comes. For now the stock 20 inchers with the big meats look killer!
