Ken,
All I can say is it looks pretty good for a 3000 Plus pound street car!!! and the other question.... did you come homw with the biggest smile on your face yet?? Looks like after all the hard work and craziness the two weeks prior... it all worked out ok.
Hey, I just saw and article in EVO (I think) with a top speed shoot out... the 9ff car hit 231mph ... not bad!!! anyway I looked like they had 19" race tires?? If so, maybe you should put a group buy together to import some.

Andy,
The headlights are actually covered with the thin closed cell foam packing material cut to fit and taped along the edges with white duct tape. I liked the fact that the packing material has some cushion since the lights are $1200 a piece!!
Bill,
You jokester!! Did you hear about Tony?? Now I know why he was unreachable!!!
Cary,
Can you share more info regarding the tires?
BTW.....Sorry for the delay, but the check is in the the mail!

The tires are Continental ContiSportContact 2 Vmax and they should be available for Porsches in 235/35 ZR 19 fronts and 315/25 ZR 19 for the back. That 9ff cars is a 730bhp and it, curiously, had a GT2 front and the stock tt rear wing. They didn't run any of the wings or spoilers that they normally sell

KPV, these are brand new versions of the ones sold in the States specifically made for highspeed, hence the testing in Nardo and the invitation of all the tuners who use Continental. You can ask around and see if they are sold as I have no idea if they are available just yet.

I was re-reading this old thread and realized I never got an answer regarding the Continental Sport Contact 2 high speed tires. Does anyone know anything about them? Read the last few posts to understand what I am talking about.

Ken,
Looks like a lot of fun! I can't believe you are running street tires though. I refuse to do any track events unless I have track tires just way too much sliding around like you experienced. You would have had twice as much fun and been much faster with some shaved track tires.
