My ECU was far from a virgin. They tend to burn out after a while of repeated flashing and soldering. I got a fresh one form a german guy, Klaus in Fl who refreshes these DME's and actually preprogrammed it to my vin for me. The cost was 475. for 300 he makes your ECU like new. He told me to stay away from over flashing the ECU. This problem was confirmed. The car was driving fine, only was it on the dyno day that it started shutting off 5 seconds later.

Thumbs up

Good Morning All. Car is good now. Going to test out this Proto tune hopefully today on the dyno. If this tune does not net the power I am looking for(700awhp+) the car will be trucked back to CT and Tony@EPL will be doing the custom tune. Thanks

You really think that Tony can program better than Todd K? Do you know how many people, race teams, companies Protomotive is envolved when in comes to programing?? The list is long. I think your car's horsepower is limited by your fuel system not your tuner. You can not get more than 800 or so RWHP out of 044 in series. You must put them in parallel to make more than 800 RWHP.
Good Luck

Rob so you know there are people that know more than Todd when it comes to tuning.. He is not the end all tuner although he is VERY good at what he does. When this new standalone comes out I guarantee there will be tuners you never heard of show up and do work better than you could have ever imagined.

Its not about that Rob. Its about having someone tune the car with the car in there possession. Plus I prefer my car to be tuned on a mustang dyno. Those are two pluses. If the car puts down the power I want with this tune. Ill leave it alone and boast.

Chris
I dont think anyone knows more about Porsche tuning here in the states. If it were not for Todd's help, the stand alone you are refering to would not be even mentioned. I know a few of the tuners, actually the car that won the 1/4 mile contest in this year supra nats, Ross is a very good friend. Additionally, if you take a peek in my garage you would see a 1400 hp Supra. Come by this weekend for some food and I will show you some of my toys. Suman, I really wish you the best!
