Can this be done on the sport seats too? I think that this mod would be a big improvement on them as well!

I am too many miles away form my car to check this out myself..

Sports seats are essentially the same with just the wings added to the sides as additional shoulder support, so should be exactly the same. For me this change is night and day as when you have thinner foam you also end up sitting further back on the seat base, the whole dynamics change + for supple seats are the same construction I understand, just different leather

OK this is awesome, I don't really want to change the foam, work well for me , But what i want to do is re upholster the leather with Alcantara. Thanks for posting this

Thanks for the tip. I have the same feeling, that I am sitting on the seat, not in it. I will try and do this. How much difference in foam thickness are we talking between the stock piece and the replacement? What kind of store did you buy the new foam from?

Foam doesn't have to massively thinner just far less dense than than in Pic2. i.e if you press hard on the OEM foam its difficult to feel the surface below it, however with foam I used you can easily do that. I am in Europe so I guess you dont have the same DIY stores as us

Looked at my supple seats last night. the seat-cover is all one piece. Can't pull out the middle section Still saving for GT3's I guess.

Richard -- Great idea, thanks for sharing! I just went out and felt the seat foam -- very firm, just as you describe. My center section is attached in some way to the very top and center to the seat. I'm concerned that if I just pull that connection off, that I'll have trouble getting it to stay back on. What did you do? Any suggestions?

Sorry away skiing for a week, the center section simply lifts slightly up and unhooks to fold forwards. You just rehook it afterwards, those parts stay in place

It's attached at the bottom though... that's a bit of a problem.

not at all look at my PIC 1, its hinged at the bottom, release it at the top and then it folds down, separate the dense white foam from the thin grey foam, they just pull apart
