I am sick of Warranty and CPO turndowns

Looks like it's time for you find a new dealer to deal with. Just remember that the Lexus business model was built on superior customer service. That has been the center of their business model since the inception of the brand. Of course they build a great quality car that create less repairs necessary to begin with. Trust me I know. I am a Lexus dealer. I think the Porsche business model might be a bit different. However, you can still get superior customer service and repair if you find a good reputable dealer and create a great relationship with them.

Don’t get me wrong. I think all Porsche dealerships should give top notch customer service. I am all about customer service and demand the best. I just make sure I treat people well and respectfully regardless who is paying who and how much money is involved. I built my entire profession on superior customer service and I NEVER said NO to a customer.

Best advice I can give anyone buying one of these is NOT to get the aftermarket warranties...
Beat them down on price in negotiations and roll the dice. My car was sold to me in an extreme state of modification (The dealer's words after the fact) and I found out later that the company that backs the warranty would void all work if they sent out an adjuster to appraise the work, due to the condition (WHAT THE ***** DOES THAT MEAN???) of the car... The fact that it has lowered suspension/ coil overs (On the car when they sold it to me) and that it is obviously not stock (Only mods I've done were the aftermarket tune that replaced an existing aftermarket tune).
I've also installed a roll bar...
No, DON'T buy a warranty or extend an existing warranty. Reality is that you'll end up better with the support from an independant shop, and come out ahead on cost of maintenance/repairs...

To touch on that, I believe it's illegal to sell aftermarket warranties in California.....and if you want an extended warranty it must be purchased by the dealer you bought the car from.

Not illegal to sell aftermarket warranties in Califronia. There is no such law.

It was 2 years ago when I bought mine....none of them would sell to me because I was in CA and they ALL referred to some legal reason....only available if you were purchasing the car from a dealer.

Don't think Im picking on you....but they CAN do whatever they want then you can try to recoup your costs by taking them to court.....just because they are supposed to does NOT mean they will...case in point
My F250 has a lift kit and aftermarket exhaust...etc........the gasket between the turbo and pipe went out..$750 parts and labor...still under warranty....the local ford store refused to warranty it..... because he said his diesel tech claimed the INCREASED heat from running a LARGER exhaust pipe fryed the gasket...well ANY idiot knows that increasing the diameter of the pipe will LOWER EGT's not increase them...he didn't care and actually said " I could void ANY warranty just because of your lift" When I reminded him of the Magnuson-Moss Act, which IS the precedent that says he cant he laughed and said....then take us to court.

Warranties cannot be voided for any bolt on performance modifications unless it's deemed that those particular items are the cause of the problem. This means that the warranty claim for a suspension problem will be denied if you have aftermarket coilovers and it is deemed to be the cause of the problem. However, this does not void your warranty for the rest of the car.
