WOW...thanks for the awesome welcome home, guys! And thank you Marty for posting this!
It's really great to be home. I'm currently taking a week or so off from work, and plan on taking some more leave later on this year. I have 80 days worth of leave on the books, so I plan on taking a lot of time off.
I have to return to Iraq in November for another 4 months, and due to that...I have more pre-deployment training I have to attend from now until then (we never stop training).
Unfortunately, one of the courses that I have to attend is during the last week of March...so it looks like I won't be able to make it to TX2K8 this year....which I'm REALLY, REALLY bummed about. However, my best friend Peter will be in attendance. So he'll have to carry the Proto torch for the both of us this year.

Welcome back Scott and thank you for your service. I happen to be the National Chairman of the Board of Operation Homefront. As you probably know, Operation Homefront is a national chairty that provides assistance to our military families around the country, primarily during and after deployments.
So far we have raised over $15 million, with roughly 91% going to our families in need. This year I think we will raise close to $9 million alone, thanks to partnerships with the PGA Golf Tour, Walmart, Major League Baseball, Jim Beam Liquors, Dollar Tree Stores to name a few.
I am headed over to Iraq myself in the next month or so to help deliver a C-17 transport full of supplies to a couple of bases. I look forward to thanking the troops in person for all that they do!!!
