that picture shows the OLD droplinks. The new drop links are on post 1 laid out on the table in black. never broken those.

Correct if i'm wrong but those pics of the OLD droplinks also show how they were connected to the OLD JIC setup....new setup they connect elsewhere right?

Do the JIC transmit shock/spring noise into the cabin. I'm only considering these for street use. There doesn't look like there is much in the way of sound isolation in the top perches or mounts. I'm still trying to decide between the PSS9 and JIC.

make sure corrct install by Porsche specialist not euro car specialist. when install is crrect dosen't make shock/spring noise into the cabin. past two year new version drop link we did track durability test proved with lap time , street durability test proved.
I attached drop link install photos and our demo car photo.

Can you explain( I actually don't know) why one side has 75 mm and the other 70 mm written?

both side 75mm is fine. this position dosen't make stress for drop link. depending.ride hight will change little bit position change.

OEM GT3 rear subframe bushings reduce movement of rear suspension and they are much cheaper than any aftermarket offerings. I choose TRG rear toe links for the build quality, they are needed because of the extra adjustability of rear toe. They also eliminate needing to adjust toe with the OEM eccentrics which is a joke. And finally, 993RS rear engine mounts. The 996 turbo powertrain is very heavy, we have found when tracked...the stock engine mounts would allow excessive movement causing the rear move. When we tried the 993RS mounts, it made a huge difference.

Awesome setup, man! So good. You're really making an insane car out of what was already a monster! Can't wait to get back home and follow you around the track.

As for Robert's comments and suggestions, I do fully agree. I have all this stuff on my car (albeit 997S) and it's all made a huge difference. I have a different brand on a thing or two (GMG instead of TRG drop links, for example) but the whole setup is spot on and just allows for more suspension tuneability. You asked if you'd have to have it set up again, yeah. You would. Adjustability is the reason that you do these things, actually. Remember my ranting over how wonderful a thing camber and toe was? That's from some of this stuff, such as the control arms and dog bones. But I would suggest taking it one step at a time (or in chunks, like you are) so you can appreciate each dollar you spend instead of not really knowing what to appreciate. Do a few track days like this and then do the rest.

Oh, and the adj end links DO make it easier to adjust the GMG sways while at the track. Remember how I had to change mine like 5 times that one day at CMP? Being able to adjust the end links helped a bit. Just a thought. That's not really their purpose, but it helped release the bind.

Hey man! Hope your world boarding adventure is going well! Cant wait to see pics and hear stories. Your 997 will be a beast when you return. The car Robert did with all that suspension stuff is my buddy Jack that we did a 650 kit on his car. Its a monster, alittle over the top for a street car, but that is how Jack likes it. For those going to TX2K8, you will see this car in person! Weekend DE guys can stick with my package, maybe if you want run the GT3 front and rear sways.

Good news though... We just finished testing our Agency Power prototype rear 25mm adjustable sway bar. Details coming soon So track junkies who want to test this out, get in line

As you can see from the picture, the build quality and precision of these parts are apparant. Check out those camber plates! I had these installed by Doc's Grrrage in Lexington, SC and had it aligned and corner balanced by the good folks at Autometrics in Charleston, SC. They were impressed with the build quality as well.

I have yet to take possession of the car, but Autometrics set it up to the same specs as their Porsche Cup Car. I also upgraded my rotors to the Porsche GT3 Cup Rotors and Pagid Yellow pads. I am running GT2 calipers on the front and stock turbo calipers and rotors on the rears.

One controversial piece of equipment in the whole package is the front droplinks. As you can see in the picture, they are not as beefy as the rest of the components. Some 6speed members have reported breaking their front droplinks.

Dan from Vivid Racing has been very helpful during this whole process. He has reassured me that none of his customers, inlcuding himself, have had these droplinks break. Nonetheless, in 30 days, he will have available to me some new heavier duty droplinks to replace the ones above.

Thus, apparantly the fly in the ointment has finally been extracted. I can't wait for my next track day. The folks at Autometrics assured me with the new suspension and brakes, the car will perform like a whole new beast.

Does anyone know why the camber plate is straight with this system? I thought RWD was straight and turbo AWD the camber plates are angled 30 degrees or something like that? With the camber plate beign straight, it's still ok with the awd uprights?
