Modded Z06 VS Modded 996TT

I crank it too. I am not worried about missing a shift. I just need to lose some weight in the rear. My cab is just too heavy.

I dont know about murder. A head/cam/exhaust/cai/tune Z06 is FAST!! At least not kill it with these base kit 700 packages, but maybe the ones will all the extra stuff.
You have to consider that a GT2 is faster than a TT. And with equal power, the GT2 is still faster than a TT.

From a dig? Is your car stock? If either is yes, then it's the driver.

GT2 is much faster then a 996TT is right, at least in stock configuration, 30 seconds faster then a 996tt to 186mph and back to 0 before a 996tt gets to 186mph. In the GT2 buyers guide of Porsche excellence that came out over the summer.

My H/C/H Z06 with a 50 shot trapped and ET'd almost the EXACT same as my Proto 800 GT2, under very similar conditions at the same track, so I suspect it would be closer than you think.
I'll have my Z06 down in TX next month, so bring your GT2 down too and we'll line them up. Other than Scott's car and maybe his friends ride, I don't think there is a 996/GT2 on this board that can hang from a 2nd gear roll.

Hey STEVE KOJASEVIC just want to give you some support about running the Z06 Vette. Go for it.
This will be "apples and oranges" in this discussion but it relates regarding running a Z06.
I ran a Z06 with my E60 M5 (modded dyno'ed 581 rwhp). We went 60 to 180 mph. Here is a video of the run. Each car had a passenger. The M5 weighs 4,200 lbs, the vette is approx. 3,400 lbs. The Z06 had internals, CAI, cams, ECU and exhaust (no cats). The video was taken from my M5.

The Z06 hits a wall at 140 to 150 and goes flat (what I've seen).
The M5 as its ultimate mod has a NOS kit. When used it releases all demons from hell.
You should take care of the Z06 my friend.
A few vids of the M5:

Steve your Porsche will take care of business against the vette.
I love Porsches (GT3 & GT3RS) but I'm do not favor turbos. Love a normally aspirated motor.
Good luck,
GT3Ranger

As for your video, doesn't prove much. You had at least 30whp on him...he had a car on you for most of the video until he shifted into 5th. Extra weight from a highway roll isn't much of a penalty.

Did you even read what he wrote? How would a cam'd/exhaust/tune and few more things Z06 do against a 700 kit, your cool and I respect your car's and knowledge but where is the relevance to my car and your highly modified Z06? I'm talking about from highway rolls not trap speeds and from a dig at the strip, there are car's at the strip who have ran low 10's that I pull on the highway (evo's) sometimes it can be an accurate formula/match up and sometimes not. Z06 would most certainly be that highway match up even though it does great at the strip, up to a certain point (NA not blown)

I have ran Z06's before and a Ford GT same day (which many of the Fchat people witnessed) with me pulling away from them very fast...
Don't know what to tell you, not every car/setup/driver/day are created equal, and I would be very interested in a run between our 2 car's that's for damn sure!
All the guy asked was how a 700 kit turbo would stack up against a Z06, with what ive seen from runs over the summer the 700 is very very fast at highway speeds, and again where the Z06 lacked (and I experienced one first hand) but not modded to the extent of yours.
