Intake Comparison: Agency Power Vs. Fabspeed

Ok, These are the cheapest functional intakes on the market right now both priced at $700.00 and both claim to be making around 20 hp to the wheels. Agency is slightly more powerful but Fabspeed is inlaid in CF, and may arguably be better looking. Which would you get ?

Agency Power/Vivid Racing Intake

Price: $700.00
Power Claimed: 21-32hp and 22 lbs of torque

I think of the two choices one is a cold air intake and one is not.

I went with the former....

$130 BMC filter, cut out the another hole on the left side and your fine..... no need for fancy intakes... When you do have 600+ rwhp then I think it needs attention.

no offense, but that Fabspeed part is not that great of an intake. You use the back of the factory air box with the MAF. They sell you a thin aluminum plate (top) and an aluminum rectangle that holds the factory style air filter in place. They sent me one back in the day for free to test when we were friends. Sorry... I do what is necessary. It was free so I took it. But $700 and does not include a $70 K&N??? I can say this stuff as I tested it. Here is it installed on my car back in the day -

Did it make power, sure... it is open to the air, works great on the dyno, close the lid and get on a race track is different.

What Markski is saying is the cheap solution, basically cut a hole in the left side of your plastic box and make your factory box look like a Sportec without spending $2000 ish. Kinda looks like how Dixie made ours a dual flow like the 997TT box. I did alot of intake tests with the stock box and a K&N, the Fabspeed, I used a EVO box, and our Agency Power kit.

If you are going to cut your factory air box or run the Fabspeed, I would rather give you an Agency Power kit at cost.

I always take care of 6speeders 24/7. If you saw the promotion, just paypal dan@vividracing.com and what color you want. It will ship!
