Strange experience with Jump Battery Start
OK been away skiing for a week, not driven the TT for 10 days and so had to jump start it from the LR3 (micro battery) this am in a hurry on my way to work. So much in a hurry that I didn't bother to keep the LR3 engine running. The TT starts just fine but the whole instrument console then doesn't work; I mean everything ****. ... Get back home, go through the whole fuse box after the obvious choices, no blown fuses. Push in and out the red button in the fuse box and hey presto everything works fine again. Strange

Richard -- Where did you connect for the jump start? To the fuse box and door jam? To the engine battery connections? Or the the battery directly?
I think the owner's manual says there is potential to cause electronic issues if you jump start directly connecting to the battery itself. I'm glad everything is back to normal, but I'm not sure how pushing the red buttom in the fuse box would fix it? Maybe the electronics needed some time to reset after the jump start?

battery to battery directly, yes its a mystery to me as the car was restarted for my journey home (before I checked the fuse box ) and that made no difference then, your point above is noted thanks for that Alpha
