Wicked!
So I have to ask..... despite the company's poor use of the English language, it seems like they do a heck of a job building (not necessarily better) Porsches and I am wondering who among us has actually SEEN and DRIVEN some of the cars that Wicked builds.
Looks like they start with a damaged car (in many cases) and create an RSR look with just insanely wide bodywork that doesn't look too bad to me, in photos at least.
These cars look downright MENACING and I am openly asking (curiosity has the best of me after several years of seeing these cars advertised) if they look good in person, and do they drive well?

I am not at all a fan of Wicked, I actually hate the idea of what they do it goes against everything I believe in (in terms of cars).
I have seen one of their cars in person and it was a 996 cab converted into a 996tt cab with extra wide fenders both front and rear with a custom trunk lid for the convertible top and I hate to say it, but the body work was pretty good. I was actually a little bit impressed.
I have never driven one of the cars though so I have no idea how they drive, but you are right, they do look menacing on the road specially moving.

I know nothing of wicked other than they over charge for what you get [a body kit], but quite a bit of salvaged cars. I own a body shop and have seen some strange things go through an auction i.e. a 300 mile Porsche GT absolutely mangled go through with a clean title and at the same time a 8000 mile cls55 that was keyed [deep scratches] go through with a salvaged title..Just like everything it is politcal. Just make sure you can get photos of the damage that existed prior to fixing and make a EDUCATED decision.

Hilarious.
I actually like the designs but for the purist, certainly nothing but original will do. The question wasn't because I was going to acquire one of their cars, rather I felt that what they were doing was very aggressive and they should actually be applauded for the craftsmanship if it's good. Sounds like the wok is actually pretty good. There have been many tuners out there who have been "baked" in the press and persistence has proven them good in the longer term. There have been DP bodykits and Gemballa stuff that I've seen as being WILD beyond belief that were at a huge premium to stockers while perhaps also being killed in the press for their innovation.
As to salvage vs. not, it's interesting to me that race cars can be sidewalled and spun and chopped to pieces and you see them rebuilt all the time and no one cares. Shops put another 700hp motor in them and they campaign another season or several. This doesn't make that fact go away, but its interesting how different groups view the problem. I know for a fact that California is one of the most aggressive states when it comes to what they consider "salvage" and it's absolutely true that so much as "theft recovery" when drawn out more than around 3-4 weeks becomes an automatic "salvage" so someone correctly stated that it's "buyer beware:" but in the CA marketplace, Wicked is probably taking full advantage of the "salvaged but not salvage-damage" situation.
Thanks all for your input.

They take a classic/elegant and respected Porsche and turn it into a kit car, They should just make magnetic panels for the chassis so you can turn it into a Lambo one nite and then a GT2 the next, ect. A complete monstrosity = http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2008-...=p4506.c0.m245

Wow! Talk about coming back from the dead. This thread is over a year and a half old!
But it doesn't change the fact that Wicked seems to be trying to sell the same cars on ebay for a long time now.

I never realized they were built from salvaged cars. Given their high list prices for '01s, I never looked further than photos of 1-2 of their cars. Definitely struck me as having crossed the line and reminded me of all the modified/body-worked Fieros back in the 80's...
