I cannot wait until my exhaust comes!!! I think Stef at Europipe should be giving us all discounts for the support but I dont think thats possible. Gneypiks, the quiet version will have slightly less resonance. From what I have heard, there is very minimal resonance in the 2000-2400 rpm range. I am not positive but this is what most exhausts tend to do. Dan.

I e-mailed Stef about the "hearing the turbos spool up" topic, and here is his reply...

"Our site states :

Stage 2 loud : Exhaust has both high and low pitch tone
Stage 2 quiet : Exhaust has a low pitch tone

The Stage 2 quiet exhaust uses stainless steel sound dampening material .
The Stage 2 loud exhaust has no sound dampening material at all .

The sound dampening material will inevitable take away the higher , sharper tones .
It's somewhat comparable with speaking with a handkershief against your mouth .

So to answer your question , the tones are charateristic for the Stage 2 loud exhaust . You can bearely hear the turbos spooling up though."

Not surprized by your pleasure on the EP2Loud. I don't even play my stereo much anymore. I was at a nice resturant last night and they valet parked my car right next to the enterance. We were there for over 4 hours so the car was cold. When I started it up everyone waitng for their cars all just smiled and thumbs up all around.

Two people even came over to the car and shared their satisfaction of the sound. They said they never head a Porsche sound so great. You will start seeing the same response. The EP sound just does that to people. Congradulations on picking the BEST!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, no exhaust will make your TT sound like a 360.

For some sound/video clips of the EP-Stage2 Loud and other exhausts, "right click and hit save" on the appropriate video HERE

I don't think Porsche owners want their car to sound like a 360. Granted 360s sound sweet but it's a different sweet

I didn't ask if the EP2L makes a TT sound like a 360.
I just wondered if the EP2L sound, whatever it is, is carried as far down the street as a 360.
And can you distinguish it from another loud exhaust/car half a mile away.

Tom and Arling put Europipes on the Kuaaina TT 2 hours after you left their shop.

Could not agree more with all your comments and sounds soooo good.

see you soon.

same as a 360... the sound is there at every gear but a higher pitch over 100mph
