Who is doing the work for you? Are you running stock internals?

Markski speaks very highly of these turbos so I figured its worth a shot.

Markski- John is starting my build next month. I'll be giving you a call.
My goal is to produce 700 crank hp by using pump gas since racing fuel is not a easy access item in my country. That is why I opt to K24/20g. However, 1.6 or 1.7 bar is very high boost for stock internal. I wonder if the factory connecting rod can take that much level of boost? My car so far has only 10000 mile on it. Do I need to have a motor build to sustain such high boost? Mark & RCNJ what do you think?

S4- I think you need GT3076's to make your goal. You shouldn't run more than 1.2bar on pump gas and 18g or 20g will only make around 625-650 crank hp at 1.2bar.

Question for all,
I have a GT700, GT28's with all mods to the max, race injectors and 5FPR's. Will the car do a better time on the 1/4 mile with AWD or RWD? I have not Dyno'd the car yet. I just added bypass fabspeed exhaust with 300cell cats. I see the boost jumping from 0.6 to 1.6 bar. Please advise.

1.6 is to high, is that ur constant boost wot 3rd gear ?

as far as quarter goes , you will get a better laumch obviously with awd , reason why they switch to rwd is when the power realy gets up there , you start snaping and breaking things with awd .

If you are still on a stock fuel system w/ a5barFPR then you are a Gt660, not a 700. 700=upgraded fuel system. And yes, 1.6 is WAY too high.

I made almost as much peak hp on my old GT660 set up (stock f. system w/ a 5bar) but I make way more power under the curve now. 60-130 is a full second faster.

GT660 actaully has upgraded fuel system and doesn't do the 5bar FPR.

The car has race injectors, upgraded fuel rails, upgraded plenum with throtle body plus an upgraded y-pipe, evo-div. valves, v-flow, evo intercoolers, ported&polished heads, stage III clutch RSR light fly wheel. With my old pipes, I hit 1.4 sometimes 1.5 on race fuel. Now, with the upgrade of fabspeed bypass, I think back pressure has gone way down. We turned the wastegates about 8 turns, it is still running 1.6. Third gear and up only. The scary part is, it goes from 0.6 to 1.6 and stays there. My tuner told me to let go off the gas if it stays more than a second. Just in case if I bend rods, what are the diagnosis sounds? I am very concerned, and I am stuck on this concept. Any directions?

Who is your tuner?
talk to them, as the boost seems high if is correct??
Are you taking your boost readings off the inaccurate factory boost gauge??

Your car should really rip nicely with all your mods and ported heads and such.
It is much easier and more effective to launch these cars into a good 60 ft time with
2wd and drag radials. High powered AWD cars on street tires (like mine) are a joke to launch at the strip.

MK,
Thanks for the reply. My tuner is speed gallery. Boost gauge is factory. Last time at the grag strip, I hit 1.9 60ft. I know this car could do better than that. This was on street tires. Would you recommend going RWD and slicks or AWD and slicks?
