I'm with you... a car guy is a car guy... if I compliment their car and take the attention off mine it's a totally different experience. Yesterday I roll up beside a Dodge Magnum (station wagon), lowered with 20s... guy looks over with a sneer so I roll down the window... when he rolls his down I say "Car looks good, you've done some nice mods". He smiles ear to ear and says " Next I want to Supercharge it so I can give you a run"... and it's all good and we have a nice day!

Having said that... what's up with the G35s (and Altimas)?? I guess they're dressed up to look fast or maybe it's the demographics that buy them (want a Porsche but could only get a G35).

Just wanted to say that I got 24.5 mpg and averaged 72 mph on the computer, Houston to Columbus, Ohio. The speed was calculated distance to "engine on" time I assume. Also get 16 mph city..and yes I do get on it now and then. Haven't had much negative stuff either...usually just "nice car" or "I like your car", some tailgating and such. Anyway enjoy your car..you earned it.

whos the ******bag

Ive been following this thread for a bit. Yeah, there are alot of jealous people out there but you need to look in the mirror....

Dont give G35 owners respect? Coupe or not its a nice car on a nice platform. Is it as nice as a Porsche? Maybe not but i can also think of a few cars that I would rather own than a Porsce if cost wasnt an issue.

So a guy with a modded G35 pulls up next to you at a light and revs his engine. You give no respect. You sneer? Give the evil eye? Whos the ******bag?

Maybe Mommy did buy the car, you seem to have some confidence issues.

I bought my first porsche when I was 22 and now at 30 I'm still pretty young to have a 996tt, but it becomes less impressive all the time

I can totally relate to how it's perceived on the road. I've had people photograph me, want to race me all the time, want to cut me off, etc. But all that's worth the 90% of people who are interested in the car and want to know about it.

Anyway, I used to accommodate kids in their ricers wanting to test me off the line, but I finally matured past that. Now my attitude is, what's the point? Maybe some sleeper in a civic with a can of nitrous in the back will beat me some day, but he's still driving a honda. Now I just let them burn their tires content in knowing that If I wanted to take my car up to 190+ mph, I could, but what's the point?

My wife drives a G35 you *****....Kidding, but she really does drive one. I can assure you she's not going to rev at you. However, if a silver G35x gives you a ricer fly-by and you see two baby seats in the back shoot me a PM.
