I heard that the Evo has a worse turning radius than a Toyota Camry... does it feel this way?

I love the evo, we just finished doing the AEM EMS and a cam swap on my buddies along w/ just basic bolt ons. The car pulls SOOOO hard, it's definately a high 11 second ride. Took more then some time to work out the bugs though. Car has the Tein Flex suspension  and Volk SF Winnings in Gold
enjoy, i'm gonna be selling my car around the start of summer next year and i'm stuck between the evo and the dodge magnum RT
When it comes time to modifying it, i've got a guy down here that does unreal things. I'll also get you some pics of my buddies car since it's white

Well out of my puny 2 car garage anyways. I'm gonna be leaving it here at Akkurat (I've got a sleeping bag there now) since we've got some fun stuff planned for it:
So I kicked out the black car and got a white car instead car instead. I need more groceries....
I'm nut sure which carbon fiber wing is bigger. ****ty pix but I was in a hurry. Other than it being my birthday yesterday (thanks Orli!) it's my 4th anniversary today too so gonna go out with the wifey for a bit. No time for bling bling pix
Thanks to all of you that I asked about daily D's. I looked at the Cooper S, EVO, STi, 350Z, Cayenne, S4 other Porsches and so on... I loved 'em all but this one seemed to fit me best. I love how it handles out of the box and I'm loving the manual:P

I still may get one and have "old school" Hot Rod flames painted on the front with American mags... an SC with a "shaker" hood...
Maybe put in a set of four GT3 seats, and CF interior, sound system, and...

Alex, considering the EVO VIII does the slalom @ 74.x mph, the (stock) Porsche turbo @ 69.x mph can do nothing but sit back and watch. The EVO out-handles just about anything (stock) on the road today.

I wonder what the Lancer does on the Nordschliefe and Hockenheim?

In a battle of turns, the GT3 would still have a hard time keeping up with the EVO VIII. Granted, the faster speed the turns, the more advantage the GT3 gains.
Here is what gets the EVO: Straights lines. Put it on a course with low(er) speed straights with multiple turns and it will excel like none other.
However, if you place it on something such as the Nurburgring, it will hold its own on the turns, but will greatly lose precious time in the straights in comparison to something such as the GT3. It just doesn't have the top-end (stock) that the other cars do.

nice car. I too bought a Lancer Evo for autocross and track events. I put the JIC coilovers and the car handles like a beast. It makes my Porsche feel like a luxury sedan LOL! Be careful with the car though, a buddy of mine had 2500 miles on a brand new EVO and entered a solo 2 autocross event. He told the dealer that he was planning on doing that and the dealer said it was fine. Well, he threw a rod and found out that Mitsu wasn't warranting the car since it had been black flagged 2 weeks prior. Class action all the way. He has also been interviewed by Autoweek and Car and Track. Check this out... http://forums.evolutionm.net/showthr...62#post1044562

No doubt it's an excellent value, but slaloms only tell part of the story. I still think a GT3 is a much better handling car, albeit at 3 times the price.
