I've had both, actually at the same time. The M5 is a great daily driver and a sleeper when you're driving around town. But since i got the TT the M5 was sitting in my garage not being driven for days, so i ended up selling it and getting a 4x4 for dd, but the TT is definitely the way to go

Based on what you have said thus far, I think the 996 TT is the better choice for you.

996TT , in sweden the E60 M5 is cheaper then the Porsche 996 TT.
But still the Porsche is better in my eyes..

Thanks again for the additional responses. I actually feel a little less abnormal seeing how many of you guys own (or did own) both of these cars.

So far, I'm really wanting the 996. My next step, is as those of you mentioned, test driving and closelt observing both. I just hope that comes as easily as I am in my 20's and as such usually get ignored or judged at dealerships.

Thanks,
Daniel

I've owned both as well. As much I loved the M5, I completely agree with the above.

I still have both in my garage. You are more than welcome to drive the two back to back if you cannot find a dealer willing to let you test drive them. send me a pm.

I have both as well. Given your profile/requirements, the TT without a doubt. P car is way more FUN and cheaper to mod.

Hi,

I am unable to PM at the moment due to my post count. Do you have an email address?

I certainly appreciate the offer. At the very least, just getting to look them over in person would be highly useful.

Thanks,

Daniel
