The stock 996TT has 6 kg of downforce in rear at speed of 200 km/h.

The stock 996 GT2 has 8 kg at the same speed.

Strosek has the data so ask them. They have not given accurate numbers. (They have talked some ridicolous high numbers but have not stated the speed)

Greetings:
My friend/owner-COCO has a wing/accessory shop EREBUNI in Williamsburg/roebling street Bklyn. Speak to him directly.........
I did puchase a front aero kit for my Porsche 911SC.
I do recall he carried Strosek-kits & other stuff.

Walter.

Actually it's not new at all. It has been around for many years now.

Contact Strosek directly for pricing and availability. I say this because last time I talked to Strosek they said they were discontinuing production of this wing.

strosek-design@t-online.de

I've attached some additional pix of the wing.

What gets me is that our cars only get a wing which produces 6kg of down-force @ 200km/h or 9kg of down-force @ top end and the Ferraris claim 180kg of down-force with their wings and rear end diffuser. HUH? I must say I do find 996TT a bit floaty at top end runs. I would love to hear from someone who actually changed the stock wing with an aero or an aftermarket one and noticed any difference.

There can be a noticeable difference with aftermarket (if designed correctly!) or aero kit wing at high speeds...Of course.

About those claims: Don't you worry. Porsche is an excellent high speed car.

For example in my data where 996TT gets 6kg of rear downforce at 200 km/h, a 360 Modena has 26 kg lift in rear and a 360 Challenge Stradale only slightly better with 21 kg lift (the race cars have the wing you know )

And this data has been measured with the exact same way in the same location in Germany. Trust me okay?

Not to hijack the thread but per the floaty.........might it be something otherwise in the way your car is set up?
Properly set up, I don't see it.......course 'top end runs' only gets me to 160 or so....your experience may vary......(and BTW, my car is even 'violates' some front spoiler lip norms ).

Would be interesting to see the downforce data on the Aerokit as well. Over 190 the front end gets floaty for me too.

not sure about the technical data, but having owned a stock 360 and a stock 996tt at the same time, and having done tons of high speed runs to vegas, the 360 was waaaaaay more planted over 150mph than the turbo. I believe it has to do with the undercarriage of the 360.

The bottom of the 360 is sculpted to create channel the air under the car and stabilize it. I was always amazed at 150mph in the 360, you would feel comfortable driving the car with one finger on the steering wheel.

If strosek, discontinued it, there has to be someone out there that makes a ''look-a-like'' of this wing, for less $$$$? Anyone have any ideas?

I think it's a 911 trait. My 944TS (although slower) the faster I went the more planted it felt. At 170mph it was truly sucked to the road like the 360 you are describing. With 911 I feel they’ve managed to achieve 0 lift but not much down-force. The wing and the under rear side diffuser on my 944TS generated an actual down-force. I believe 49 kg was mentioned. I just wonder if bigger wing would actually achieve this down-force rather than simply look good. Ps. Must test drive the new 997GT2 @ 200mph and see how that feels, however the local dealer hasn't got them yet and they do turn green when you test drive them fast... :-)
