Questions about 996 TT Modifications...
#46
Well then there should be no more questions because that was my car on pump gas and running AWD.Yes it was Fast for a GT700 .....mph was 135 not 139.....weight at the time was 3420 lbs. Most GT700,s are 10 sec cars it all comes down to the owners driving capabilities.

Sorry but I have more questions...
When you run 10.88 on pump...which pump was it and on which boost did you run ???
What is the diff btw EVO GT700 and EVO GT750 kit ???
If run my car withtout cat how much more power I am going to see ???

The GT700 is on Race file mode... hence race gas.... therefore, on pump it will probably do 560 rwhp vs. 600rwhp+ on 100 octane...
With tthat said he will get beat by what he said are highly modded cars in russia....
I told mike that if he cant run race gas then whats the point...

Like I said before...race fuel only for speical ocasions...most of the time on the street racing I will have to run 93...I race everyweeks ends...
There is 9FF 780HP 997 TT coming next week...I wanna beat that..he will run on pump also...all of us run on pump...Only in special events I would wanna run on race gas...
Sometimes races hapapnd when you dont expect them...its not that I preprare for them or go to track like you guys...we dont have good track we race on the streets most of the time...

GT2's definitely use the same mods more "efficiently"
Even with the front diffs unhooked, a GT2 will dyno more to the rear wheels
than a exactly modded 996TT (according to Todd at Protomotive). For all out
performance, You cannot beat a GT2 (and certainly at some point of power levels)
they go from requiring 99% attention to 101 % attention so as to not get into trouble.
I have driven stock and GT700 GT2's and the 700kit is more than exciting in a GT2.
My car is much more forgiving and more tractable (and trackable unless you are W.R.)

What if you launch off both cars off line on regular road in GT2 700 kit and 996TT AWD..which car will pull away and till which speeds ???
Jsut can get a better jump with AWD...from which RPMS can you launch ???

Do your races mostly happen from a dig or roll?
Are you wanting a street legal drag car or a super fast daily driven car?
Any time you get into power levels of 700-800hp, you will NOT put that to the ground in the 1st or 2nd gear on the street in a RWD, unless you are on slicks, racing from a dig, and with VHT on the ground.
Also, I don't care how well it is built, when you get a 3.6L (or 3.8L) engine to push that kind of power, be ready to have the car down, and be ready to spend on maint/fixes.
I know I'm new to this forum, but I have been around turbochargers and drag racing for a while.
