I'm gonna throw this out there:

Everyone I know who has seen my 996TT tracked has been floored at how stable, how fast, and how smooth it tracks. If set up properly these cars will run close to cup car times in AWD, and I'd imagine with a RWD conversion and LSD they'll lap faster in the right hands... Just ask Matt Callehan.

Everyone I know who has "thought" they drove their cars *(any car make or model) HARD on the street has come away from their first track day humbled and embarrassed about their own driving ability and their previous notion of what "hard" driving is has been shattered.

Do NOT understimate the capability of the 996 Turbo. I'd take it over a GT3 any day of the week, track or street. Whats more, I know several GT3 owners who feel the same, but already own their GT3s because they'd been told it was the "ultimate" track toy, only to be lapped by Turbos and GT2s. There are very few power mods you can do to a GT3 that will net any real gains, unlike the 996T and GT2.
