Venture Shield is far superior to 3M. You can also get wider widths available, if you want to fully cover you hood and fenders.

porschedude996T,

What colour did they do the 3M on for you......I've done it on our car and truck (both white) and both have a yellow tint to them now.

Is Venture Shield that much better? Has anybody else tried this instead of 3M......any luck?

On a black car, touch up paint will blend in nicely. Use a touch up brush and slowly fill in the chip and then wet sand and polish. Then when you cover it with a bra, you won't even see the chip.

Venture Shield is much better. It offers the same if not better protection while appearing smoother on the surface. It looks amazing on Black compared to other films. No matter what film you use though a poor installation can make any film look horrible.

White cars are always difficult, but as long as you keep some wax on the mask you shouldn't have any problems with the film yellowing. Venture Shield actually has a lifetime warranty against yellowing. If you cover the whole hood and fenders you'll see less yellowing as you won't have a line going across the front end.

detailjohn,

Thanks for the info.....always think of 3M when it comes to this kind of stuff, but I'll see if someone can install the Venture Shield instead and see how that goes.

rokstdy1,

Your right on the installing technic.......tried it once and that was enough for me.......always leave it to the pros. They have alot more patience with the stuff.
