GTR: too ugly to purchase...
Ok, I finally watched some videos and keep in mind, I saw the R34 GTR at SEMA back 10 years ago, so I knew the GTR would be large, but it's HUGE. You might as well twin-turbocharger a LS430 Lexus to take on Porsche.
Performance numbers are impressive, but not nearly impressive enough to spend $ on this incredibly large, ugly car. What's the purpose?? Part of being a world-class supercar competitor is being world-class good looking. This monstrosity would crowd my 4-car garage. Pass. Way to large & ugly to stir any emotion...is nausia an emotion yet??

It's not that bad. The car is a monster but still a Nissian. I have herd that it puts out 530HP not 480HP. This is why we are seeing 0-60 times of 3.3 and 3.4. I also saw a 60-130MPH time of 9.8. To get a 3800lb car to go that fast, you need many more ponies than 480HP.

If you read Road&Track again, on the stats page there is a little red box stating that the GT-R used a launch control and the 997TT built up the boost and drop clutch. The only normal start was the Z06. That's why all their times were fast.
