Keeping 996TT forever?

Keeping 996TT forever?
Anyone planning to keep their 996TT forever..assuming no serious problems? I cant see myself giving up this car in the near future. Even with the arrival of newer models..I just dont see the next car getting so much better that I would consider the financial hit it would take to upgrade. Maybe I am naive and just dont know what is potentially ahead. Anyone else share my viewpoint? I know forever is a long time...but you get my drift.

As long as there isn't anything significantly better, I would not mind keeping my car to 100,000 miles and beyond. But then again, if there is something that excites me, I might take the car and trade it in without thinking twice.

I'm keeping mine forever or at least until my son and daughter get a chance to drive it in couple years.
In terms of driving enjoyment, I don't need any more than what the TT has to offer. It's perfect. It'll keep me challenged forever.
If I do trade, it'll be for something more sophisticated like an Aston, closer to a real GT. And I'd get a smaller and lighter toy for tossing around, like an Elise or Beck Spyder.

I'm a little nervous about the prospects for loving the car forever. At this point I can't visualize any reason for making a change. My car is the only Porsche I've ever owned and I see no reason why I would desire a new one. The thing that scares me is that if this was 1997 and we were all blabbing about our outrageous 993 Turbos, we would be hesitant to consider an upgrade.... I just had a peek in the 993 forum and there has only been 1 post in the past 20 days! Get my point?

Wow, it pays to be an undertaker in the Miami area. Instead of just lifting gold teeth, jewelry and stuff, this time they can get themselves an exotic car. Do you think anyone from the family will notice if the Lambo isn't in the casket?

the 993 had to be updated---the interior was horrible. now that the 997 interior is out, i think the 993 exterior with the 996 interior would of been the greatest P-Car ever.

Looks like a pretty good haircut on #16.
Did they creamate the lambo with him in it?
Does he have the fastest ride in the underworld?
I too think the 993, especially the C4S, is the best looking 911 ever. Everytime I see a perfect one on the street, I always pause to admire it. The 993's for keeps for sure.
I think the 996TT, being the first water cooled turbo with the short-lived headlights, will have the same endearing quality.
It's worth keeping in the family. So far, the TT is the most trouble free car I have ever owned. Feels like it'll run forever.
