R&R front bummper
I have a few questions about my new porsche. First, the front bumper doesn't appear to align all that well with the trunk/hood lid, its as if the bumper sits 1/4" or so higher. Is that normal? Also, the area around the headlights just looks strange, but I believe thats normal. My main question is that I would like to remove the bumperettes and repair a very small crack in the paint. Can the bumper be painted off the car and still look as though it matches well? The car is artic silver, I really don't want to leave the car and have to have the paint blended back onto the fenders, etc. if not necessary. Appreciate any feedback. Thanks

1/4 inch seems like too much.
There may be a small gap between the two, but having it sit that far up seems a bit odd.
I could be wrong though.
On the paint though, I've had mine painted and as long as the shop is GREAT (do not settle) they can make it look oem.

Congrats on your new ride. There are about 8 screws total holding the bumper on. There is a little slop in them so that the bumper can be adjusted. Either you or a decent body shop guy should be able to take out the 1/4".
On removing the bumperettes: You need to replace the grill pieces when you do that, else you have a hole. You can do that yourself. Grilles go in from the back, so the bumper cover has to come off.
