Why does Porsche take so long to Produce Turbos?

As many of you know a new Turbo S will be in the garage soon, or so I thought. It is the first car at the local dealership which gets a lot of allocations, and yet the production date is in January. I also noticed a lot of the guys on this forum did not get their cars until May or June. There is only going to be 513 Turbo S models sent to the US, so why is it taking so damn long to get these cars?

thanks Bill

JK996TT is infamous around these parts
997 now, TT cabs and C4s in the past....it is a matter of priorities ($$$) for Porsche.
