Stock for stock...E63's is nowhere near as quick (99% of them anyways) as E55's in the 1/4. They do a tad better once they get into speeds.....but nowhere as fast as M5's or 996TT's

FWIW I raced my buddies dad's M5, which on dragtimes.com was the fastest NA M5 for a few months with an 12.1 and from a roll he beat me by a half car to a car when I was stock.

I originally planned on getting an E55 before I bought the turbo, and I knew as soon as I got it that I was going to need a pulley to beat my buddies dad's M5

Powell, pick up an e55 to your stable if u can. I choose it over E63 cuz of torque & mod capability. They'll be great & comfortable for street driving around town. NE Htown is my hometown. I should know how the roads there are like. U guys have crazy racing scene down SW on Westhimer when i go down there every once awhile.

All joking aside, I will say that a 996TT driver that can keep his shifts in the .20 range and under will do much better against a E60 M5 from a roll than one that can not. Is that better?
haha, I know Brotha, look at Kenny's time and trap on his stock 996TT, yes the last line is better!

Rolling starts don't really mean much to me, i like a drag race from a stand still

Lets face it. Anyone who drives around a 996TT stock deserves to be beat on.

Evilempire...I hear you and appreciate you opinion on the M5 run against my 996tt when it was stock... However, if you knew who was driving that M5 you may change your opinion, he is a quarter mile freak and has rx7 with some 3 rotor or something motor in it that running bad not hooking with terrible 60 footers was running mid 10's..... His car looked like it ran pretty even on high rpm 5th gear and on....but 3-4-5th...not a chance..... ANOTHER important factor ppl arent taking into consideration is that 996tt is manual !! I can use the clutch to launch harder on the roll.... where as he can only floor the car.... not really fair for him..... but I didnt give a hoot.... its all about knowing ***** out who is faster..... so.... the video speaks for itself... i also ran him out of the hole... not very good for the M5.... the 996tt is the superior car.... at least stock per stock...
im not the best driver.... but can handle my own... SO CAN he....
thanks again for the comments and opinions.... lol!

Was your car a regular 996 Turbo or an X50?
