996 Turbo / GT2 Turbo discussion on previous model 2000-2005 Porsche 911 Twin Turbo and 911 GT2.

Why aren't K26 turbos used on higher peformance packages similar to TTP?

02 turbox50,
I am using K26 hotside, with modified internals. WE are pushing 750hp+. You really have to keep the engine above 4000rpm in order to have turbos spooled up. Boost starts @2600rpm, .4bar @3k, 1bar @4k, 1.4bar@4400rpm all the way to redline. Occasional overboost 1.5 bar.

How does the Tubi sound compare to Techart and Europipe? Louder, deeper, racy, . . . . Never heard Tubi before. Any feedback?

Wheelspin at 110 mph in an AWD turbo with "only" 750hp? You've got to be kidding...

Maybe in the rain, with the road covered in sand ...

Dude. If you are using a K26 on the "HOT" side, what in the name of Jesus are you using on the compressor side? K@#?

limitup,
I got consistent wheelspin @190km/h in German autobahn and in very good traction back roads. Same happened in Italy. Currently in Greece lights flash on dash even in 6th gear albeit not very good traction here. This occurs mostly going uphill, I guess because of the increased load to engine. Getting a new set of tires next week, hope this improves traction some. I think we are near 780hp, since @the dyno we got only 1.2 bar @4.4k rpm while running at least 1.4bar on the street.
