Hi all! I am sooooooo happy that he is STUCK HERE!!!

CJV- Your comments are cute... I am not sure I know who you are though... I am at a disadvantage..... Nice to meet you... smiling

Rockitman... your so funny.... But it would have been quite a larger tale if he had been stuck in the sticks in a seedy motel...!! I wonder what kind of photos he would have shared in that case!!

Anyway, I miss all my 6speed buddies! You have all been wonderfull help to KPV in this pickle..... I hope I can count on all of you for the same kind of care if I get stranded... (btw it's a Saab though.... )...smiling...

why not borrow a spare tire from an owner down there? when you get home just mail it back.

Then, use this opportunity to buy the 18s you KNOW you will buy eventually anyway. Cheaper to buy a set of Fikse's now than a brand new SSR GT3 and then a set of Fikse's in 6 months.

holy ********* batman, your wheel bent from THAT???

Ken, you really need some forged wheels!

RE: 997 using 19's, Porsche is running a 30 series rear aspect ratio as opposed to your 25, since 80% of the car is purported to be new over the 996, it seems most likely that the rolling diameter is enlarged as well. Also, let's see if Porsche runs 19's on their race cars, then that will mean something.

Hamann,

I believe that at speed, (45mph), that hump would damage ANY wheel....

I doubt it would damage the stock solid spoke GT2 wheel! Believe me, I've hit stuff way worse than that!

Those damn GT2 wheels are so solid, I've witnessed them staying straight even after the car goes airborne and lands on gravel, rocks and dirt. The tire tread may derail and twist over the wheel, but that 30lb. wheel sure is strong. Trust me on this one.

Now, imagine that same woman standing on your chest on one foot wearing a stiletto heal shoe.

Which one is going to poke through your chest first and cause the most pressure on a specific point?

Think of a road turtle (titty) as a stiletto heal that will destroy both your tire and your wheel.
haha. very interesting way of saying Pressure=Force/Area
