GT2 using 997TT rotors

Hi,

is it possible to mount the 997 Turbo steel rotors (99735140500 and 99735140600) on a GT2?

Is it a direct bolt-on without any modifications needed?

My car is a 996 GT2 with OEM 6p calipers on the front.

Thanks,
apo

Apo,

You cannot bolt it on, I believe the offset is different. Do you have PCCB? If so, you may be able to use the steel cup car rotors from Porsche Motorsport.

Steve,

I just wanted to say that you guys at Suncoast are awesome. I've been dealing with Ric for my parts for quite a while now, and he never fails to give me the best prices on all of the parts I order.

Anyway, just wanted to let you know.

I to have to agree with Scott. Dealing with ric has been great,he has been able to find parts that Porsche seems to have multiple numbers for.

The set of 4 rotors and all the pads come to $1657. And you know what, I haven't looked this up before, but the GT2 steel rotors and pads may just bolt into a ceramic (GT2 only) setup.

I'll look further into this for everyone and update.

I could not agree more. Suncoast is #1 in the US for sales, parts & service IMO.

Thanks for the info, steve.

I previously had PCCB, but swapped to steel rotors. But the GT2 steel rotors (9963514099H / 9963514109H) are pretty expensive here (780$ each!) and Porsche has difficulties to supply them, so I was looking for an alternative.

What is the Porsche # for the steel Cup discs?

Is it 9963514099J / 9963514109J (<-- Porsche told me that these are no longer available)?

Are there any other OEM parts that could fit (i.e. GT3 rotors)?

Apo,

I wish I could tell you the part number for the cup rotors, but unfortunately, I don't have access to the cup car parts. The 997 GT3 front rotors work in place of the 996 GT2 rotors, but are the same price. Check your private messages, I have just sent you one.

But to add onto what I was saying before, and in conjunction with what Apo did....yes, on a 996 GT2, the ceramic and steel rotors/pads are 100% swappable.
