Have any installed the AP 650 turbo kit from Vivid Racing?
I want an upgrade! I am on the fence of debating which route to go for, either AP650 kit or EVO GT660. There are a few factors that I am considering, and I hope some one have experience dealing with either companies would be able to chime in.
Factors to be considered:
1. Maximum HP & torque output
2. Product Reliability
3. Level of customer service
4. Best bang for the dollar
Thanks in advance for viewing and sharing your thoughts.

I do not know the price or details of either system, but you should definitely talk to
and drive (if at all possible) any major kit like this. Do not buy one over the other because of price only.
Good luck!

I agree for this kind of power kit, pricing can not be used as a main determine factor for which to choose from, and that is why it is at the bottom of my factors list. That being said, these 2 kits are priced relatively similar, EVO for 11195 and AP for 10,799

I looked at both of them and found that it is somewhat difficult to compare them because they have different methodologies. Although they both use a GT28 turbo, the AP650 comes with a header, but use a OEM exhaust, and utilizes the 5.0 FPR (although there are something look like fuel lines, I didn't see it from the kit description). For the GT660, the headers are not included, but it changes the fuel system (except for the fuel lines) instead of doing the 5.0 bar FPR. To obtain optimization, both kits need other hardware.
One thing that I can tell you is labor to do the GT660 should be more than AP650 because the fuel system requires the engine to be dropped.

Wow Steve, I wonder how they can do the fuel rail and injectors without dropping the engine. It is only my presumption, but again I wouldn't need to go to Sharkwerks if I know how everything works.

Yup.
One of the guys on here that installed the AP kit was making GT700 power with it... i gotta dig into the search function to see if i can come up with it. I just remember it was making really strong power.

Either AP650 or GT660 is not going to make 700 power; there must be other components.

Wow, they really can get quite crafty sometimes. Those tuners are like artists with engines.
