5.5X 60-130 on 93 octane...with video.
Okay guys, I know you are probably sick of these threads...but I'm pretty excited about these times on pump.
Anyway, KPG told me that the 5.7 graph I gave him yesterday was way too strange to validate (it wasn't showing any of my shifts and the long G's were off).....and he was right. So, I did some more runs today.
Before the runs, I installed stiffer BOV springs in order to keep myself in boost longer between shifts. As you know, dropping out of boost and having to get back into it after you shift can a negative affect on times. So, I was attempting to mitigate the problem with these springs. It seems to have worked.
I'm still on 93 octane..and I just ran a 5.5X (I get 5.53 but need KPG to validate) with 2-shifts. I peaked at 1.15 BAR this time. This graph clearly shows my shifts. I sent it to KPG for validation.
I also have an in-car video of the run below here: http://media.putfile.com/553-run

Scott,
Fastastic run!! I wish I could shift like you. I think your two shifts togather were faster than my single shift.
Your shift points are different than mine. Did you raise the redline?
You must be getting faster times with two shifts rather than one. What are your single shift times like?

Crazy car, Scott!
No sense trying to keep up with you!
Sort of on topic, my APS tt kit uses the plastic bosch bov's.
Regarding your change to a stiffer spring, do you think I'd see any performance gain by going to a better bov, like the forge motorsport, which is a piston style, rather than diaphragm?

I did. My redline is 7,900 rpm.
I've measured a .10 and a .13 before. The shifts in the video aren't near that fast....maybe in the .18 to .25 range. My shift/re-accrleration times are fastest when I get back on the gas at the exact same time my clutch is physically re-engaging after the shift. I really have to really focus on doing it right. When it happens, I immediately know the shift was very quick. It's almost instantanous. But it wasn't happening today.
I found out from Vbox USA that anything under .10 doesn't register on the P-box (not that I'm saying I've gotten under a .10....that's just an FYI.)

I definitely think a quality piston style (like I have) would be better than a diapghram, bro. If it were me, I would pay the extra for the Forge Motorport. It may actually help you between shifts more than you might think.

I'm running 305/35/18 Nitto 555R drag radials at 25 psi out back. Up front, I have 235/40/18 Nitto NT01 R-compounds.
