I don't think the PSM helps your 1/4 mile time, that's why I think it's odd I got my best times with it on. The other thing about my PSM launches is that I had more tire spin than I would have liked, but I didn't notice any bog, lag or flashing PSM light. Maybe because there is so much going on at the launch, I didn't notice, but I could not feel any cut in power. It was definetely on, though, and I didn't even think of it until after I had made 3 passes.

 

One thing I realized today when I was trying to chase down a brand new 599 on the freeway. When I roll into boost it spikes and then falls down. I adjusted the controller and got it to see 18.5psi, but towards 5k-6k it falls down to 15psi. Not sure wtf is up with that. My only guess is that maybe my intake pipes are so small that they cant flow enough air to the turbos. I'm still using the stock ones.

 

Hey was that a black F 599? How did you do with him? He lives here in Woodlands and I have been trying to get him to run me for a little cash-a-roo :-)

Nope it was a beautiful Ferrari red 599. It came out onto 45 from Bay Area Blvd / FM 528 which is where I live off of. I think its one of the Lawyers from here in Friendswood.

We didn't get a real run in. He floored it one time ahead of me and I hit it and started pulling back on him. There was to much traffic on 45 to do anything. If anyone is on Ferrarichat and if he is tell him I'd like to get a clean run in with him sometime and that his car is was beautiful and had probably the sexiest sound a stock car could have.

 

Do you think you can pull him with your new set up?

Oh yeah I know I can easily, I was pulling back on him. I don't think I'd beat him that bad, but I know I can pull him with the boost I was on, well it was about the same as last night.

Maybe next Friday when I get home from San Diego I'll drive up there. I am going over to a friends in a bit. I'd say tomorrow but I have this meeting at school that I cannot miss because I'm working on a project for my adviser.

I really want to go for a ride in the 3.8ltr monster. Akram said its crazy!

 

Understand... Yes, Akram and Todd or working on some new stuff for my car as we speak. I am hoping it will make it faster.. time will tell.
