Blown 6 Intercooler install

this may be a redundant question but has anyone done a performance study of the aftermarket IC's versus stock on 70 degree plus days for slightly modded cars.
Ie, increased lag versus, improoved timing and boost, etc.

- At 1.25 bar of peak boost on the EBC and a constant 1.08-1.10 bar on the Greddy display there was only a 8 degrees increase in ambient temperature on a 3rd gear pull from 3000 to 7000rpm on the durametric log.
- No sense of lag felt...although the Garret GT280RS ball bearing turbos may have played a role...spool up was actually faster
- Noticed that after multiple 3rd gear pulls the motor never felt out of steam compared to the K16 and OE IC setup. I believe the ECU would pull timing with the old setup due to heatsoak and higher intake charge temperatures after multiple pulls.
- After some hard runs and if I pulled over to observe...the EVOMS ICs were always cool to the touch
Thanks Sharky for hooking me up with the EVOMS ICs!

Here's some food for thought. Though I overhauled my setup from the standard K16 setup, I observed the following with a Durametric logger:

Well I celebrated too early. The check Blown 6 provided just bounced for insufficients funds. Not only did they send funds in Canadian dollars which was short the original $1600USD...now the refund check even bounced.

I had stock ICs on a GT28 setup too. The car seemed to heat soak after 2 runs. There was also variability in times between runs even before heat soak set in.
With the EVOMS ICs the car runs faster and much more consistently. Now I can run 4 60-130s all within 0.1s of each other. The car might slow down alittle after 6-7 runs but not near as much as it used to.
I think there is a very slight (< 0.1 sec) increase in lag with the larger EVOMS ICs that I could only detect with my V Box. I noticed it took a little longer to get back to max boost after a shift change but it was not consistently present (and I was looking really hard for it). It seems to have totally vanished since I worked more to speed up my shifting. So I feel that the lag issue is very minor and is more than offset by the safety and consistency advantage of the larger ICs.

That really stinks. I would report them to the RCMP for theft by check!!

well. that's because you're in France. You see, they go from Beijing to by sherpa to Tibet. This takes 3 months. Then they go through India, pakistan, turkey, Greece, Spain, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, then by boat to Sweden. Then they get airmailed to the UK and from there NY. All along the way they sit in customs in each country for a week and shipment takes about a week. That is another 7 months. From NY to LA, then from LA they get boxed up in USA made paperwork, and then get shipped back to the UK and then into Paris. In Paris, they sit in French Customs for 3 weeks because they come in boxes labeled Katsup, a banned substance in France. So you should be getting it in 2 weeks by my calcs.

with all the practice your getting from the illogical GTR fanboy crowd and their BS, I would have expected you to read my BS much faster.

Hahahah!
Having this mod on my list, it only takes a simple search on "blown6" here and on rennlist to read all the bad press. For every ONE good post, you get many negative posts about the quality and customer service.
No, they won't get a sale from me, either... Hopefully other members will use more caution in the future...
