OK, after lots of work and planning, here is the final word on the 60-130 for this Saturday (5/10). We will be running the event in conjunction with "Judgement Day" (a local Houston car gathering that includes dyno and drag racing)

Gates open: 9:00 am
Track hot for the 60-130: 10:00 am

Drag racing will start at 11:30. The 60-130 will go on until 1:30. In other words, from 10-11:30 ONLY 60-130 and from 11:30-1:30 both 60-130 and drag racing... At 1:30 it will be strictly drag racing.

Cost to 60-130 will be $50 (like always) but you will get the added benefit of also being able to drag race all day.

Caravan Information:
Meet at the Conoco at Eldridge and I-10 at 8:45 am. Leave at 9:00 am and get to Lonestar at 9:30 am.

damn It has to be the weekend I promised the folks I'd be going with them out of town...

Peter, Sean, or Nick I want to meet up one night and Mexico and make a few driftbox runs since I am going to miss the event.

He is not answering his phone...I have been calling for 2 days now trying to set up something for tonight. There is that new shop opening up (Houston Moterwerks) they are having a party and then Frank N Steins is having their JD warm up meet.

I told Paulie we should meet up. Of course we will hit a stretch of Mexican highway on the way to see if his much vaunted 24/18's are as formidable as all the hype.

So far, no answer or return call. Bwak bwak bwak bwak....

I don't dyno and tune until Tuesday. I might show up there anyway. But for the love of god. Don't let me turn up the boost and race anyone. I just can't help mysef, and all my work will be for nothing if I blow it up without Dyno tuning it first!

 

Bruce, Hennessey has a dyno there at the track. Maybe you could tune at the same time?

Since I won the last 60-130 comp you hosted (and incurred a nice repair bill in the process) I figured I would give someone else a chance.

I did, however, offer to hold Paulie's Parasol if he runs tomorrow.

 

I do believe this calls for a song:

As soon as I get everything figured out I'm going to have to break that record and we can finally make you bring the GT2 back out. Remember all my dyno numbers and track times aren't seeing their true peak because the boost falls down to almost 15psi at the top of the RPMs.

The more I think about it I'll try to do it on pump gas (1.17 bar, 17.1-17.3psi) Though I know it's really going to take my race gas amount of boost (19psi-20psi).
