Like others said, go for an ecu flash (i prefer giac), followed by a new speedtech/dgi exhaust.

The ECU Flash is done via OBD II flash cable from us via Softronic. Price on the flash is $1995 and includes the OBDII flash cable.
Do you need the whole car - or just the computer?

Neither is required. You can have the Turbos removed and the exchanged ones installed. All of these types of upgrades require the old turbos to be sent back for modifications. The Turbos are K16 that have been opened up on the charging side to make a K16/16 and the waste gates are updated.

The flash is sent to you or the shop that is installing them via email as an attachment and a simple laptop and cable that is supplied will flash the car.

The tuned package of a Stock K16 or 16/16 are very close in the final outcome.

Thanks Micheal!

We have approx ~25 cars running with out k16/16g kit so far with very good results.

$3345 was our intro special for the kit and was supposed to expire May 1st however we have extended this pricing through June 1st. The kit includes everything you need to bolt the turbos to your car and enjoy (gaskets, hardware, ecu flash ect).

I've had both. In my experience, there was a significant difference. Do you have dyno plots or other data supporting that conclusion?

Stock K16's yield about 500Hp and 545 of torque with a stock Softronic tune. The K16/16 can yield more as with the K16's with more boost and fuel, this basically applies to all turbo cars. More boost more power.

My expertise is 25 years of tuning and race engine building for Porsche.

Softronic or one of its Dealers would send you a cable that will read out your current data. This is then uploaded and I make a custom file for each individual car. This applies to all files done by Softronic. The new file is emailed to you along with the original and you can flash to either one as you may require.

The Durametric Diagnostic tool is also an option in the NA cars or standard for Turbos.

You can read on this tool at http://Durametric.com .

Best,
Scott

Maybe I'm missing something. Stock turbos & stock tune makes 500 crank?

Also, my results were 420awhp 490awtq on stock K16s with a 1.1 bar flash and 480awhp and 530awtq with K16/16g with a 1.1 bar flash (both pulls were all wheel drive and on 93 octane). So really it's same boost, different turbo, more power.

Are you saying that Vivid/softronic's K16/16g kit makes the same power as a flashed K16 car?

Stock Softronic Tune on a K16.

Scott,
(1) Have you or Vivid installed a K16/16g kit on a car yet?
(2) What were the results?

Yes I have and the 16/16 has been out for some time now. The results are typical of what one would expect from the mod and the most recent car that I did it on was J Cipriani and Randy Pobst car in which is a twin plugged 993 Race car.

Best,
Scott

Maybe we were talking past one another.

I thought you were saying K16 at 1 bar = K16/16g at 1 bar. Which, in my experience is not accurate.

Re-reading your posts, I now think you were saying: K16 at 1 bar = K16/16g at .7 bar (which may be right, but I've never run mine at stock boost levels).

I'm still curious to see a dyno plot of a Vivid/Softronic 996TT K16/16g car. Will you post one up when it becomes available?
