ECU sounds about right , what is the most used brand out there?? I would only do exhaust if it has HP gains , not interested on Loud or Exotic Sounds without HP increase

If you want to wake up your car, I would flash the ecu and find a used exhaust. On the other hand, you could upgrade the suspension with some new coilovers and lower the car. The car will look and handle better.

Note:
Get software you can upgrade with your other hardware upgrades (credit)...check that first....say you get a LWFW and the car begins to stall more....software can fix that....make sure the "tune" you have can be upgraded to allow for this kind of thing. Some can. Some cannot.
Get BOV's if you get an ECU.
ECU for me meant a new clutch within 48 hours...my tuner's code makes a TON of torque...so be warned....a clutch is NOT cheap (labor)...I went with a LWFW while there. It was a more expensive net mod than I had planned for, but in the end, I am way ahead.......so an exhaust is perhaps a "safer" first mod....
Exhaust: if not rich($), search on the "modified stock exhaust" thread...TJW mod. I had it and it was about 50% of the way to a good exhaust. Down the road, get an exhaust and BOV's....

I'd get a flash, and a used exhaust if you have any $$ left over. I would stick with a tuner that offer upgradeability with their flashes, otherwise you will end up spending money twice for software.
From what I have heard, I'd stay away from Revo as a tuner. Once they flash your ECU or give you trial software, you won't be able to use any other tuner's software.
