it's a built tip at least so that helps. probabaly going to add paddles to his wheel though so you can shift easier. only about 200 bucks to add them.

even with a tip it's very hard to run. That sr probably has $150k plus in it.
Notice very few 996s even ran 9s let alone 8s. And it's for that very reason in my opinion - manuals on a 996/997tt at the track is very hard to do.
