Turbo popping wheelies

Is it possible for a turbo to pop wheelies?

I swear I saw a turbo pop a wheelie back in the 70's when I was a kid. The front wheels were may be just inches off the ground.
I wonder if the balance of the old turbos made it more possible.

Is it possible for one of you that own a 700hp monster to pop the front?

I saw Eddie Bello's 9 second narrow body 964 based rwd Turbo easily pull the front wheels way off the ground (almost dragging its rear) and wheelie a good distance down the track at Atco Raceway. The car had some massive power. Because of the wheelies, he couldn't leave the line as hard as other guys, then he'd have to get off of it a little to lower the nose. After that it was a rocket, you could visually see the car accelerate mid track as it came up on boost. If I remember correctly, the car ran in the lower 9 second range and trapped at over 150 mph. I read Eddie Bello was working on a 996 based drag car and saw a few photos of it but haven't heard anything lately regarding its progress.

hell yeah, that car is insane. He uses it as a DAILY DRIVER! There is a clip of it doing a wheelie in the Teckademics Mischeif video... the one before the Gumball3000 vid. I have heard that he scrapes the exhaust pipes for almost 60 feet and still pulls a 9 second 1/4.
