DIY Greddy EBC with External Wastegates
So you are running a Greddy Profec B2 Boost controller with external wastegates on your Porsche 996TT and need to know the proper way to set it up? Vivid Racing has put together this drawing to show you how the connections need to be made. If you have any questions in regards to the installation, contact our technical support team.

Cool Dan! Wonder why this DIY went un-noticed. Are you sure you don't have NC and NO lines from the solenoid mixed?
Anyways, in lieu of making a tap to the manifold can't you just tee the N.C. line from the boost solenoid to the boost reference signal going to the wastegates (red line)? The solenoid just keeps the wastegates closed by feeding the same boosted air (green line) to oppose the force of the wastegate valve closed until the EBC senses the maximum boost threshold and closes the boosted air from going through the solenoid thereby opening the wastegate to control the amount of boost going through the engine.

We did it a bunch of different ways and this is what worked best for us to get a good vacuum read and have it all function well. The goal is to COMPLETELY eliminate anything that relates to the factory boost solenoid.

Dan, I wasn't questioning using the OEM solenoid or not just the way you have the solenoid hooked up in your diagram.
I was thinking of tapping the compressor side of the turbo housing with a vacuum barb then run a hose directly from there to the wastegate. Less than half a foot of vacuum hose would be used for that setup. What do you think?
You may want to add a vacuum barb option for your 650kits. Makes all the vac line routings a breeze. Something like the picture below but replace the internal actuator with an external wastegate.

I think instead of tapping the compressor housing I'll buy these taps. Looks simple enough. They can be bought from http://www.atpturbo.com/ :-)

Include them in your 650 kits and you should be golden! Makes the install so much easier....

Dan...Could you please right down a specific connection diagram for vacuum lines when boost controller is used in combination with stock wastegates? There are NC,NO and com ports on the greddy boost solenoid and also three connections on the porsche stock boost solenoid...Please identify how the connections should be done...(I am still waiting for an email with help on this)

The stock boost solenoid must be COMPLETELY removed from the system. The vacuum hoses should be capped or rerouted so you have no vacuum/boost leaks. The Greddy unit for internal wastegates will run the NO and COM ports. The instructions for the Greddy unit are very easy to follow for internal gates.
I will work on a drawing for you.

So are you saying my correction to your diagram is true? Hehehe...
I'm going to post a DIY of the AP650 kit combined with Silicone hoses and Greddy EBC...here's a preview....
