One Turbo Smoking (what is the prob?)
This came like very all of a sudden but one of my Turbos has a light trail of blackish smoke coming out of it under idle. It hasnt happened at all until the other day. I hadnt driven it for a few weeks then the smoke came.
I tried driving it for a while 15 minutes or so to see if it would go away, but it's still present.
Is my turbo failing? I have straight pipes, and it's one side only.

I just might not be qualified for this one!
Bad cat, exhaust leak, no Vivid sticker... are you making normal boost? does it sputter? does the car sound ok. Take a short video and youtube it for us to see.

No cats, I guess an exhaust leak is possible, so is no vivid sticker, we'll have to get that remedied.
The car is sputtering a tad at light throttl occasionally. Could the plugs do that?

Exhaust leak would not have black smoke though. Theoretically, you have an exhaust leak as you have straight pipes out of the turbo! Something possible with the turbo. I would do this, remove that right side turbo, make sure the impeller and all is good. Change your oil too. start there.
PM me your address and shirt size.
If your plugs are fouled that could be it too, what plugs do you have in there, how many miles?

you should check the spark plugs on the side if it has oil on it you need to rebuild the motor or take off the header on that side and look in to the exhaust ports to see if it has oil in it and if it do you do to rebuild or if there is no oil then you need to replace the check vavle on top the turbo

Black smoke=Fuel or rich condition.......Blue smoke = burnt oil
Good thing is black smoke is the one I would be less worried about and is probably a bad plug, injector or other less expensive fix.Any codes? How many miles on plugs?

Because each side exhausts a bank of 3 cylinders. If you have a dead plug in one of the passenger side cylinders, you aren't burning the fuel in that cylinder and you would only see that on the exhaust side where that cylinder is located.
