Nitto NT-01

I'm getting a set, I never drive in the rain, just some spirited driving on the weekends on some southern Maryland country roads, some 0 - 150 launches, 60 - 140 to 150 highway pulls, and the occasional day at the drag strip and the circuit at Summit Point. Total miles driven a year are 4 to 5 k. Should I be good?

manalex is infamous around these parts
I use them on the track only. Like them, but they are noisy-at least on my car.

Great tire for the track. Fairly noisy on the street.

I run them up front on the street, and my buddy Peter runs them front and rear. At your power level, you'll absolutely love them. Great tires.

The original poster has over 1000 posts here and drives only 4000-5000 miles a year!?

You should use your free time at the wheel and not at the keyboard!!

I will be there from 15th August if I can get my brakes sorted out...have a mysterious problem with them. I'll check the autumn dates later. Those times are nothing impossible. I heard from my friend who watched how one Scottish (can't remember) professional racing driver drove well under 7.50 his mk1 GT3 there last autumn With 550hp it is easier...

ps. I just posted some pics "Carfreaks at Nordschleife" to the GT2/GT3 forum...

The Ring ain't about power, I would put that well down the list, it's all about carrying speed. What suspension are you running? What brakes also?

Kaizu, just checked, you are actually quicker than the record in the 996TT by 8 seconds and that was driven by Horst von Saurma, also you are only 6 seconds slower than the GT driven by Walter himself, *** you must be on it dude!

Heck, Schumi I'm not but we have some fast Finns in F1 and WRC

Anyway I have said it many times before that during Touristenfahrten one can lap only BTG times. Bridge-to-Gantry!

Horst himself laps the whole course excluding the small straight with T13 bend. So I'm much slower with a modded car than Horst in a stock one

EDIT: By the way awesome respect for Horst, he is the right guy to test cars there. Usually he drives only a couple of laps with one car (and there can be traffic on the track at the same time) so you can't really compare them to these manufacturer's claims were test drivers have driven thousands of laps with the same car.

Take care,
