I had pulled a total of 4 times so far; it is really hard to find a place to do this kind of pulls. There is room for improvement with my pathetic driving for sure. The weather is warmer now and my PS2 should grip a little better. My mphs were lower than yours. I hit 124.8 on a 11.6 pull, but 123.8 on a 11.5 pull. Here's my best pull so far...

The size of the turbos has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with whether or not you can get good 60' times. 60' times is SOLELY down to the driver and to a lesser extent track prep, temperature, tires, and suspension.

Case in point, MARKSKI pulls 1.6x 60' times regularly and he has MASSIVE turbos.

You don't even really use the turbos for the 60' time, they're barely even making boost by then. It's all down to practice and how you launch the car.

LiNks, it's DEFINITELY NOT because of your K24's, it's just down to practice. Now get out there and rip off some more runs man!

It was a wrong assumption, thank you for the clarification.

Links, I just sent you a PM. I was wondering how your 1/8 mile was and the speed? I agree with everyone here, turbos have nothing to do with the 60 foot. My best so far has been 1.8. All practice which I need some myself.

I just did a little number crunching; I do think that the turbos (at least in the case of GT28) have some impact on 60’. However, the impact may not be significant.

Here’s how I came to the conclusion…

Looking at the speed of my 60’, it was at 38.5 mph.
Using the Transmission Diagram at the back of the Porsche Owner’s Manual, 38.5 mph is just under 4000 rpm in the 1st gear.
According to the GT660 dyno sheet from the EVOMs website, the different between the stock and GT28 turbos starts at 3099 rpm.
So the turbos have impacted the speed between 3100-4000(-) rpm in the 1st gear.

For K24 turbos, they would have no impact on 60’ if they kick in at 4000 rpm or higher. If they kick in below 4000 rpm, there is an impact, but small.

Go practice at a dragstrip and then let us know if you reach the same conclusions. DBox isn't the same - interesting numbers though.

Markski's turbos by their compressor map kick even higher up than K24's and he cuts better short times now than when he was on K16's. It's down to practice and a better suspension/tire setup.

I knew those Dbox/Pbox ain't trustworthy since they are made in... maybe Divexxtreme should remove them from his 1/4 Mile and 60-130 thread.

I don't believe you got my message; I have no objection on Driver and Car setup made a good 60'. However, the turbos may play a small part on some setup. ABSOLUTELY and SOLELY are pretty big words to use.
