DynamicMotoring is infamous around these parts
I would say DPE or HRE, just personal preference. I just dont like the fact that DPE charges extra for non-standard widths. The other brands listed are good, but Cargraphic I dont recommend simply because they take too long, and its irritating.

Here is a link to my DPE thread so you can check out the many models they have to offer. The SL-5, S-10 or S-20 from signature series would be my suggestions.

I dont want the issue of water sitting in the channel behind the face of the wheel.. thats why I think I have to go to a 1 piece wheel.. like champion RG5 Have to check the back side of a wheel by brombacher... I think their design wont hold water back there also.

As cool as 1pc wheels are , they aren't something i see being popular for that much longer. The whole point in getting aftermarket wheels is getting something that has a big lip, larger widths, and stands out, not to mention shaves off a few pounds of weight.

DPE's are cool,

Agreed.

If you are worried about water building up on the inside of the face, you could always use a leaf blower or something of the sort (there's one called the motorcycle dryer I think & it seems to work very well...) to blow the excess water out from behind. You might not get ALL of it, but enough to be satisfied.

1 pc wheels are here to stay... they are safer then 3 pc wheels...they dont leak.. race wheels are 1 pc.. factory wheels are 1 pc.. granted 3 pc wheels look better most of the time.. cause its a different look then stock...

The water issues are not due to 3-pc wheels per se, but are due to a reversed lip. Reversed lip. I have 3-pc OZs and no reverse lip.

Hey Guys-

What color combinations do you recommend on a slate?

I want it low on the 'bling meter'... all chrome, no,

I was thinking a chrome/polished lip, with a light grey center. (Personally I like a kida-mesh style, C20, P40)

Comments or pics would be great...

True statement. Anything with a reverse lip, you will have a minor issue, nothing big.

If you went with a stepped lip wheel, the problem is completely eliminated.

DPE does offer a stepped lip.

I know it's not Slate Grey, but here are a couple pics of my Champions...

I painted the centers Seal Grey for a bit of contrast. I'm happy with the way they came out, but if I had to do it again, I would go 1 to 2 shades lighter on the centers. I did paint the barrels as well, so that may be part of the reason they seem so dark.
