These are not careless mistakes or mistakes caused by the informal setting. For the most part they are just flat out wrong and show how poorly educated we Americans are and how little pride we have in our language.

Sorry it just really bothers me and reflects poorly on all of us.

So are you saying i am poorly educated because i made a common mistake. As i can remember people have been making mistakes in grammer for hundreds of years.

How can you complain about "grammar" when you misspell the very word itself? "Grammer" is not a word.

The sad thing is Cole also copied your misspell of the word in his reply.

Cole. You said you started your own company? Who writes all the business correspondence for you?

It's also obvious that school doesn't teach us how to spell anymore. Microsoft does

I'd be willing to bet that only the English professors & teachers association website has proper spelling and grammar. It does bother me a little when someone really butchers the langauge and I do see a correlation between age and mistakes. That is the younger you are, the worse your spelling and grammar seems to be. Strangely enough I blame computers and the short-hand type of communication that goes on between younger people online and on their cell phones for most of it. Sometimes I think I'm reading some foreign langauge and trying to understand Snoop Dog after he's had some gin & juice.

ok i was in a bad mood last night, haha sorry i was a bit ****.

Anyway, poor spelling and minor stuff does not bother me at all. none of us are going to take the time to spell check and proofread everything we write on the forum. It's using the wrong words that really bothers me. No amount of proofreading will fix this problem. This is a great site for any of you that are also bothered by this type of stuff.

How do you know Cole didn't just mistyped "hear" as "here", like how you mistyped "grammar" as "grammer"?

You're just lucky that "grammer" is not a word.

Just stop with this nonsense. We know how posting online messages work. We're always thinking faster than we can prose or type.

OMG, who gives a sh*t if you dont write like Charles Dickens... do you guys critique your friends when they send you text messages on their cell phones too? This is the most rediculous arguement I have seen in a long time, yet somewhat amusing I have to admit. Nobody uses "proper" grammar these days anyways... slang and jargon has become widely accepted in all forms of conversation, even in many professional settings.

Just because someone can afford to have an expensive car, house, boat, etc doesnt mean that they are well educated... look at celebrities, pro-atheletes, etc. Many of them are as dumb as they come, but have more money than God. Life is too short to get your panties in a bunch over some bullsh*t likes this. This arguement is like the special olympics, even if you win you are still retarded.
