Cylinder Heads

Question to the experts: I'm an old 930 guy, and when we cranked up the boost over 1.2 it was a common problem to actually lift the head off the cylinder and obviously cause damage. Lots of things were tried, like milling o ring seals, etc. Nothing really worked for high boost. Is this still a problem in the water cooled 3.6's we run, or has the head to cylinder been stabilized under similar high boost? Thanks in advance.

Same probs. Most go with the ARP head studs for higher boost, but there is a limit. VRAlex (former member here) is rumored to have welded the heads to the block.

My car has the SG700 kit. Gt28's full fuel system upgrade, etc. Gauge says 1.4 (probably not accurate). Running 91. Can't hear the heads rattling like in the old days, but surely this thing would not hold together boosting 1.4 on stock internals with 91. Car has 5000 miles on the upgrade and it runs great, I would like to keep it that way.
