Nothing against the Texas contingent but I spent on and off two years working in Texas and that's more than enuff for me.

 

Dallas Ft. Worth:

Two speedways, a couple 1/4 mile drags, great food, Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, Six Flags, the best Southern Hospitality you can find and for Michele and any wifey's coming along some great shopping centers.

I have a couple of connection in Dallas and it took me 14 hours to drive there from San Diego (1435 miles). I will be heading there again in a couple of weeks or so and I could really get a lot of info on everything that us 6speeders would enjoy, and maybe even put together a rough agenda.

I vote vegas and group car carriers with offset costs from admission fee and sponsors. The meet after that can be closer to the East Coast.

 

I agree with Duane. The most central location is best. Remember we are going to stand around in a resort parking lot to look at cars. The track is not as important to me since I would drive to this event and after 1000 miles of driving (1 way) I would be glad to sit on my *** and talk to all the friends I have never met on this board.

I beautiful lawn under the trees on the water with a bar and 200 of the most killer Porsches on the planet is a very nice time. This doesn't have to be a complicated event.

 

He's not even old enough to drink!! I guess I'll have to take his place... LOL

Forget Texas Motor Speedway, check THIS out, it's just south of Fort Worth, about 30-45 minutes from the Crescent Hotel in Dallas (the hotel KPV was referring to)

Dallas, has great restaurants, bars, etc etc, plenty to do, I'd be happy to throw out some ideas or help locally

 

And I am sure Charli would thank you for that...
