Moton Club-sport - What Air pressure?

I'm getting the front left Moton replaced tomorrow. I wanted the installer to check the air pressure in the remote canisters and adjust to the proper settings and had a couple of questions.

a) Should nitrogen be used?

b) What pressures should the front and rear cannisters be set at?

Thanks in advance,
Mike

I looked on the Moton website and it says 185psi both front and rear.
I assumed the rears would have been firmer.

Sounds like guys on rennlist are using nitrogen.

Anyone here suggest different?

Hear this, I go straight to the main man "Jerome" in Holland and get a next day service on any parts, the quality of service I have had has been outstanding, I really cant see me ever wanting to go elsewhere. If your getting dicked around it must be at your end, not good!

What spring rates? Most times as with anything suspension it comes down to personal preference. I liked mine (depending on the tracK) at 175-185F and 215-225R.

Thanks guys! I'm awaiting an answer on my spring rates.

Day 4 after having the motons installed, the front left dumped all it's oil. I had a replacement installed today. Picking up tomorrow after allignment and corner balancing.

On the moton site it says 185 front and back for beginners. I'm low end intermediate.
I'm getting 185 front and ~ 225 rear (max). I'm not too concerned about promoting oversteer. I figure I can make adjustments later with with sways or clicks on the canisters. The slightly higer pressure in the rears should help out with the tire rub I get with the 335's during heavy compression (road defects).

STEVO - with the 240 rears, your prior suggestions on click setting suggestions make more sense.

OAK - Hope you get your issues sorted.

BOB - Thanks for the comment!

Thanks again guys for your input.

Mike

setup racer is infamous around these parts
hey there guys been around motons for years-never an issue! have only seen problems with install and rubbing -causing leaks...lex in atlanta is very good and helpful! if you put too much pressure in rear -you will cause a oversteer problem and add spring pressure with nitrogen.where is leak, what is spring rate, sways, adjustable and height and tires????

no this is a new problem that has to do with the machining and tolerances that are out. atleast this is what I was told. orginal installer has installed numerous sets with out this type of leaking problem. I was directed by moton to send my turbo to another installer for warranty repair. as moton has admitted to the leaking problem.

Was supposed to pick up the car yesterday. The shop called me and said the same thing was going on with the left rear

The shock should be there Monday. Hopefully that will be it for bad shocks. Kinda pisses me off I get a used, revalved cannister as a replacement for the brand new shocks.
