Polar silver is a $3070.oo option, I think it's the best looking silver, also you don't see it very often.

Here's samples of Polar Silver with sun and shade. I don't know if they belong to anyone here or not?

It looks silvery blue in certain lighting as everyone has mentioned. Obviously LSM has to see it in person to make his own decision.

Lou, I almost bought an 03 polar silver until I saw it next to an artic silver. I guess it depends on the person but my dad hated the polar silver and paid much more money just to buy our artic at napleton. Make sure you see the car in day and night. Car looks real silver in the light but gets the baby blue goin in the night. The resale value is not a problem with polar silver. If you only have the car for six months just do it. Are you looking at the ps GT2 at luxury motors? Dan
I would never buy a car from Luxury Motors. Every car they sell is hit.....at least most of them. A guy I know just tried to buy 2 different cars from them took delivery and after putting a meter on the P-Car, he found every panel had been painted. He returned it and they offered him a 760 metered that and showed three panels painted. They sell cheaper than everyone for a reason, buy rough and fix up, sell cheap.

Anyway, I looked at a PS GT2 at Rizza, car was way too expensive so I passed.

The Polar Silver is definately a cool color, but, for me, I would have passed anyway, I didn't like the blue hue and prefer arctic silver. I wish it would have worked out, but, I got a line on a black one, we'll see.

Lou

Go for it. You won't regret it. Polar is a rarer color and easier to keep clean. I love it.

I special ordered the Turbo and had to wait 4 months to get it shipped with that color and options... well worth the wait! I fell in love with the Polar Silver paint on my dad's previous 993TT.

easiest way is just to look at it. If it has an obvious blue flake in it then it is Polar, if not it's Arctic.

Of the stock colors, Seal Grey is my fav... followed by Artic. I'm not say'n the car looks the best in those colors, but simply that I prefer colors that I don't see too often, but still look good.

There's no denying that Black and Artic looks hot... but, if we had a 100-car gathering, my guess is that those two would probably be a top 2 or 3 color. Looks hot, but doesn't stand out in a crowd. For me, the color of my Turbo has started many a conversations.

Of course, in the end, it all comes down to what you want. So, whatever you feel, that's what you should get... 'cause opinions are like a-holes, and everybody's got one... especially something as subjective as color! Good Luck and have FUN, Lou!!!

I wish I had ordered mine as a polar back in 2000.
Think polar's the color on the Salt Lake poster TT car.
Polar's beautiful.

Lou, i know u hate luxury but why not try them before ur quick to judge. I stopped by, they have an artic and polar silver gt2 with under 1k miles ceramic brakes, listed for $150k and they might sell it for $143k. Or an 02 clean turbo black for $90k, i almost bought it. These are clean cars, no doubt take a look for urself. Lots of their cars are messed up but u have to know the owner or at least have some knowledge about cars. I would go for the ps gt2, its only six months.

I have to agree with Lou about Luxury Motors. Last I heard they had over 300 filed complaints. I was previously in the market for an E55 and they gave me one of their's to test drive. What I noticed in a matter of minutes was the car had warped rotors, interior lighting malfunctions and pulled abnormally to the right. And this was an '03 with ~10k miles.

I advise everyone to stay clear of that Chop Shop.

Lou, I think Black, AS or PS is the way to go on a GT2.

As many know, my 2004 Turbo was totalled in an accident. I have an opportunity to replace it, but, the car is polar silver. It is hard enough to come to terms with Arctic as I like black usually, but, now polar. Those who have seen it, what do you think?? I don't want to drive around in a baby blue car, does it look that way or is it simply look brghter silver. Input is appreciated. This car would only be for 6 months until my Turbo S comes in.

Lou
Based on these overwhelmingly favourable opinions of polar, you won't have to worry about re-sale.

My opinion: if I was ordering a car to be built, I'd pick polar. I love it in the light and shade!
