What does your turbo sounds like when spooling up?
When I had my stock K16, they sound a little bit like .. well, someone farting
Got the K16/16g from vivid, and now they sound more appropriate - first there is a little bit metallic ringing noise (what is that - should I be worried?), then it sounds like a jet plane winding up
How about yours? How would you describe the music from your turbos?

Garrett GT2860rs
I went from the OEM X-50 K-24 Turbos to the Garretts listed in the title. Some folks whine about this model Garrett because they spool up fast-I really like them. At low RPMs there's a whine (hey sounds familiar) and whistle that's not annoying, just "hey we're back here buddy, do something." Overall the non-OEM dual snorkel airbox does make the turbos easier to hear.
Since the Garretts spool quick, the power comes on very hard at 4,000 RPM (note, nothing written about spool at 4,000 RPM, just the sound of the turbos) and the power keeps going from there. When I punch the car the turbo whine keeps getting louder as they spool up, as the RPM's get above 4,000 RPM it sounds like a howl. But when I punch it the whole situation gets more complex anyway in terms of hearing the turbos clearly--the external wastegates open, there's all the other mechanicals, and the completely non-OEM exhaust. It does at the very least feel like a jet taking off. jaj

Standard K24s for me, "bypass hole" on exhaust; maybe the exhaust is the difference. I thought it could be the bypass valves leaking by too (I have the originals)?
Either way, I like the faint whistle in the background.
