Doing a movie...need an exhaust to be louder

Hi there;
I'm a new member...I'm working on a movie called "Herbie the Love Bug: Fully Loaded" for Disney. They're using my 996TT for a scene, but it needs to be louder, and yes, it can shoot flames.

I need an exhaust, something that I can get like now (meaning= in stock) and it needs to be throaty, a la Techart, but not $4,000.

Car is an 03 996TT using a 1.0 bar Powerchip unit just installed.

Anyone have any recommendations? I work for MagnaFlow, but we don't make systems for Porsches, darn it!

I did some research in this forum, but there does not seem to be a clear consensus on what makes power and is the best bang for the buck.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If this is just temporary, then this exhaust will work perfectly. Loud, light, and makes power. Of course you wouldn't really want to drive around with it all the time:

You might want to check out the Fabspeed Sport (quiet) and Super Sport (loud) as well.
i agree, you want my exhaust

Seriously it is pretty much perfect for your situation and i'll let it go fairly cheap. It's in LA so you could pick it up.

email me at offroadr35@hotmail.com if you're interested.

Your craig lieberman

Wow, if you are really craig leiberman it's nice to have you on the board. I love the project M3 you did with the flossman widebody, the skyline is another story but that's alright. With your kindof green why be worried about $4000, just go with the techart.

Go with the FVD race pipes/straight pipes, Craig. Send AMG ETR a private message or e-mail; he works for FVD.

Hey Guys,
Thanks for the plugs, yep my pipes are pretty damn loud and will shoot flames!!! The only problem is he doesn't have our ECU so his Check Engine Light will be on due to the lack of cats!! If you want them just for the movie you will be ok, it will just have a check engine light, however if you want to keep them you need our ECU programing as well....
Here is a video of um:
FVD Race Pipes!!!

You don't need no stink'n exhaust... run straight pipes from the turbo on out! Any competent welder/tuner can weld you a set for a few hundred bux... no perf claims, but it'll be loud... weld a sparkplug just before the exit, wire it to the cockpit, and you can have all the flames you ever want... and if you really want to get crazy, run a fuel line as well while you're at it!

Not that kind of movie

Umm, no. The producers did just that for TF &TF...despite my objections.

I want sound, REAL hp and no CEL.
