Awd???

Awd???
I know the 996tt's do not have a LSD stock, and that they have a center locking diff (I think). I also know that depending on wheel spin as much as 40% of power can be sent to the front or as little as 5% under normal conditions. My question is since there is no LSD front or back...ultimately in conditions resulting in extreme wheel spin such as icey winter driving will all the cars power eventually be spun out of the wheel which is slipping? I've driven RWD cars with open diff's before, and when one wheel starts to spin all the power just get dumped to that wheel, to the point where the other wheel isnt spinning at all. I just wondered if the Turbo's AWD was essentially the same but with four wheels. Someone please explain.

No one has a quick snappy answer...yes/no?
Maybe i'm just being dumb...but the reason i asked was because of this video...
http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=XRch1hgkvLs Watch from 1:45 on.
It just made me wonder if 996tt were like this as well...or if porsche had engineered there way around this.

no not at all. the reason no one has replied is because, no offense but your quetion is pretty stupid. your comparing a 996tt to a ford expedition. and that video you posted was extremely jaded. thats why there is traction control and stability control. 2 different things.
and that guy is a moron. saying awd is more dangerous because it makes the car heavier....... wow i am speechless.

no no no...i'm not comparing a 996tt to a explorer...and yes that video is whack...it just got me thinking about were the power in a turbo ultimately goes when it starts getting wheel spin. Will all four wheels always be grabbing or will that get cut to two or eventually one? (I'm really talking about snow and ice type conditions)
I dont know if any of you have ever gotten your tt's stuck (winter driving). But i know first hand how frustrating it can be to have only one wheel working to get you out vs. two or four. I also dont think its that stupid a question...i know lots of knowledgeable car guys, even porsche 996 or 996tt owners who are surprised to find out there cars dont have LSD's (until you hit GT3's and GT2's anyways).
